Boujee pool passes in Puerto Escondido

Big birthday? Anniversary treat? Weekend away from Mexico City? Or do you just enjoy the finer things in life? Whatever the case, these are some of the more boujee (and expensive) options, if you're looking for a pool day pass Puerto Escondido.

Casona Sforza: An interior designer's dream

Cost: 5,000 MXN

In pole position comes Casona Sforza. It's one of the most aesthetic places in Puerto Escondido. An adults-only, beach-front hotel with its own private piece of Playa La Barra de Colotepec, and one of the best restaurants in the area. Casona Sforza is around 25 minutes away from El Centro, only a short taxi but far enough to feel like you're going somewhere new.

The pass includes:

  • Access from 10am to 9pm

  • One 60-minute massage

  • A 20-minute sauna and ice bath

  • Access to the restaurant, pool, and beach area

  • 1,500 MXN redeemable towards food and drinks

Photography is not allowed at Casona Sforza, so this one's for the memories, not the gram.

Casa Joseph Zicatela: Hotel with beachfront pool

Cost: 3,200-10,000 MXN

Perfect for those who want a little bit more flexibility, Casa Joseph Zicatela offers a similar level of luxury, with tiered pool day passes ranging from 3,200 MXN to 10,000.

At 3,200 MXN the Gold Pass includes:

  • A welcome drink

  • A Yin yoga sound bath

  • Vinyasa flow class

  • Lounge chair, umbrella and towels

  • Amenities access

  • Unlimited fresh water

  • 7pm live music

  • 1,500 MXN redeemable towards food and drinks

The Platinum Pass comes in at 3,600 MXN and includes all of the above, as well as a one-hour massage (with 1,500 still redeemable for food and drinks).

Finally, the creme de la creme, the VIP pass for four adults.

  • A welcome Drink

  • A Yin yoga sound bath

  • Vinyasa flow class

  • A private cabaña

  • A bottle of Champagne

  • Pool and amenities access

  • Lounge chair, umbrella and towels

  • Unlimited fresh water

  • 7pm live music

Club Bacocho: Classic beach club vibes

Cost: TBC

If you're looking for a traditional beach club day Club Bacocho is the place.

Club Bacocho is huge, beach-front club with a massive pool, pádel and tennis courts, giant chess, a pool bar plus a separate restaurant, and live music (sometimes). You can really spend a whole day here and not get bored.

There's also a special offer for anyone who's at a loose end before their flight leaves. If you have a same-day boarding pass for a flight leaving after 12:00pm, you can get 50% off the price (plus, the beach club's only a 5 minute drive from the airport, so you can go straight from the pool to the plane).

Club Bacocho day pass

Barbarenas: Holistic retreat centre

Cost: 1500 MXN

Barbarenas is a great place to spend the day if you're into yogi, vegan vibes.

We spent the day here in May 2025, and the day pass was 1,500 MXN per person. This included access to all of the classes on that day (we did yoga, but classes change each day), as well as a vegan breakfast and lunch. Don't expect this to be a cocktails in the sun type of afternoon, it's more about relaxation and reconnection to nature.

Everyone was super friendly, the hosts were great, but the best thing about Barbarenas has to be the natural pool. There was even two frogs mating and laying eggs in the water, as we took a post-yoga dip.

Backpacking? Or just don't fancy dropping 2,500 on a pool day? We have a few more options that won't break the bank.

Hotel Nectar: Coworking hotel

Cost: 200 MXN

Hotel Nectar is one of our favourite hotels in the area, it's got a lovely, calm, coworking vibe (with great internet, in case you're wondering). It's also set back from the main strip of La Punta so it's a little quieter with incredible sea views from the rooftop.

If you're looking for an affordable day pass Puerto Escondido, Hotel Nectar is a brilliant choice. For only 200 MXN you get access to the pool, roof terrace, and facilities. The cafe is incredible, so there's also plenty of caffeine and snacks to keep you going all day, whether you're working or relaxing. Shred also hold yoga classes here too, if you want to tie that into your day.

And, if you're looking for something a bit more permanent they offer week-long (1,700 MXN), 15-day (3,500 MXN), or month-long (7,000 MXN) membership passes, too. These include daily free breakfast, two coffees or two beers, and unlimited access to Néctar amenities. You'll be able to brush shoulders with the many digital nomads of PE, as well, so it's the perfect place for networking.

Frida Paradise: Bargain pool day

Cost: 250 MXN

Another firm favourite from us is Frida Paradise. If you're staying in La Punta, this pool is right on your doorstep.

A pool day pass is only 250 MXN, and you can spend 150 of that in the restaurant (shout out to the burgers). The pool itself isn't the biggest, and there aren't an unlimited number of sun beds. But, for convenience and price Frida Paradise definitely has to make it onto the list.

Ok, but which one's the best?

The best hotel day pass Puerto Escondido: The best hotel option, for us, is Hotel Nectar. The WiFi is great, the coffee is strong, and there are plenty of places to get some work done, if you're wanting to find the balance.

The best pool day pass Puerto Escondido: Just because it's the most traditional pool day option, Club Bacocho. It's on the more expensive side, but you just can't beat a beachfront pool. If you're greedy like us, you like having the best of both worlds.
